Here is a detailed description of the
many errors in the above HowTheWorldWorks video on YouTube:
At 0:26 you claim that "Valerie Jarrett explained that the reason
why they were attacking Fox News is because they believed in speaking truth to
power," but, as I pointed out in my comments posted to your video titled
"Valerie Jarrett Speaking Truth to Power," Jarrett actually talked
about speaking truth to the powerful forces against health reform in a sentence
ending "so this isn't anything simply directed at Fox." Nothing in
this latest video refutes my correction of the mistake in your video titled
"Valerie Jarrett Speaking Truth to Power."
At 0:54 you claim I "wanted you to come up with a quote with her
saying that she was referring to Fox News as 'the power,'" but, again, if
you look at what I actually wrote (which you even have on the screen in your
video at 0:54), you'll see, again, I asked you to "QUOTE where Jarrett
said they're 'attacking Fox News b/c the White House believes in speaking truth
to power'" and, again, I referred to my more accurate paraphrase of what
she was talking about, i.e. that they
are speaking truth to the powerful forces against health reform in a sentence
ending "so this isn't anything simply directed at Fox."
At
The final argument you make at 2:15 is that "at the very least
Fox News is part of everyone and the tea party protesters certainly aren't in
power," but, again, as you can see from the clips you played and from the
transcript, my point was whether Fox is part of "everyone," but was,
rather, that your paraphrase of what Jarrett said (they're "attacking Fox
News b/c the White House believes in speaking truth to power") was not accurate
given that Jarrett actually talked about speaking truth to the powerful forces
against health reform (INCLUDING FOX) in a sentence ending "we're actually
calling everybody out, so this isn't something that's simply directed at
FOX"
I hope that helps clear up your misunderstanding and
thanks for the video :-)
