Here is a detailed description of the
many errors in the above HowTheWorldWorks video on YouTube:
You begin and end this video repeating the claim in the title that I
"deliberately distort the facts," but the only statement of mine you
show is my statement that:
"I've been trying to watch more MSNBC lately because of comments
I've gotten claiming MSNBC bias compares to what I've documented on Fox News,
but, so far, I just haven't seen it"
That statement is true and nothing in your video refutes it, particularly
because, in the video from which you took my statement, I specifically describe
"what I've documented on Fox News" which was
"the combative interview
style applied to only one side, the parroting of Republican talking points, and
the pattern of partisan distortion of the facts."
But, nothing in your video shows ANY of those 3 biases I've shown on
Fox News, the closest being MSNBC's failure to show the race of one of the
dozen or so people who brought a gun to an anti-Obama rally which you claim was
deliberate (though it may have just an attempt to get a close-up of the gun)
and which you claim undermines a later clip talking about underlying racism in
anti-Obama sentiment (though one African American doesn't mean there;s no
racism and I haven't found a clip showing the whole segment so it's hard to
judge without that context). Still, if I had the whole clip, I might include
something like that video of MSNBC failing to show the race of the man with the
gun as ONE part of a "pattern
of partisan distortion of the facts," but ONE example is not a pattern and you would need a pattern to
compare to "what I've documented on Fox News."
Also, you don't give the dates from which you took your clips but they
all look they came from several months before I made my video talking about
watching more MSNBC "lately" and so even if your clips showed similar
bias they wouldn't contradict my statement that "I've been trying to watch
more MSNBC lately because of comments I've gotten claiming MSNBC bias compares
to what I've documented on Fox News, but, so far, I just haven't seen it"
I hope that helps clear up your misunderstanding and
thanks for the video :-)
