Here are the EIGHT comments listing the many errors in the above video to which Lee Doren of the HowTheWorldWorks channel on YouTube never replied:

First, at 1:35 you say "what matters is the classroom activities that are assigned to the students" but fail to address that the letter writing suggestion comes under the heading "Extension of the Speech" and so the topic of the speech being staying in school does matter as to how kids will answer a question about helping the President after the speech. For those who didn't get it, the White House clarified.

But neither you nor Fox News mentioned the topic of the speech of which the letter question was supposed to be an "Extension." That's deceptive. And, again at 3:13 you complain that the changed language is not a clarification but again fail to address the context of the "Extension of the Speech" I mentioned, though later you complain about lack of context yourself at 5:24

At 2:05 you say Fox did its story "probably without reading the Jake Tapper blog" and starting at 2:14 you say I "call you deceptive b/c you didn't see Jake Tapper's blog" when my actual criticism was not failure to check w/Tapper but failure to check with the White House or the actual Dept of Edu page. You apparently just relied on HotAir and I don't know what Fox News did but, in both cases, the fact checking was bad and ended up misleading viewers. Even your video title was wrong.

At 4:31 you complain about my use of the word "voluntary" but, if you look at the document, you'll see letter writing is given as one of many options teachers may ask of students so my usage was more accurate than your use of the word "should" at 5:27

At 5:54 you complain that in context you were "talking about the curriculum where students were asked to write a letter to themselves about how they could help Barack Obama," but that's the exact context in which I put your clip in my video, even leaving the language you complained about on the screen for 18 seconds. I was actually going to put your preceding clip in my video and show how you left out the same 2 facts in your video that Fox left out but I decided it was redundant.

In fact, your failure to mention the topic of the speech was even worse than Fox b/c at 5:38 you claim students wont be asked "how they can improve their grades or get into college." So, I provided an accurate context and even spared you additional video criticism.

At 6:19 you repeat your "in context" complaint ignoring that I actually have the words "accompanying materials" on the screen. Worst of all, you never even address my criticism of your comparing Obama's initiative to something Stalinist which was the main criticism I made of you in my video and nothing about the "context" cures it

At 6:33 you claim I misinformed my viewers but never explain what the misinformation was

MORE

At 7:44 you say I claim CEI is "somehow in bed with big tobacco" when what I actually said was that CEI has gotten 100s of thousands of $ from big tobacco which is a fact I backed up with evidence not just a claim

Also, you forgot to apologize for calling me a liar and never backing it up by even showing I did anything dishonest. Still,

thx 4 the video :-)
